My condolences goes out to the family. I am truly sorry for your loss. I personally benefited from leaning on God for support during difficult times. In fact God openly invites us to. (1 Peter 5:7) To be honest it was hard for me to do but once I found out that God had nothing to do with my pain and that all he wanted to do was help it made it that much easier to go to him. (Jas 1:13) I also appreciated the beautiful promise mentioned at Revelation 21:4 that God will bestow on all of mankind in the future. I hope these scriptures can be a comfort to your family as much as they have been to me.
Father God, Take Betty into your kingdom and our eternal home. May she be with you and all of her loved ones who have passed on before her. Stay with her family hear on earth, and guide them home to follow.
