Obituary of Thomas Balzer

BALZER THOMAS H. Age 81, of Lawrenceville on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Beloved husband of Gerry Balzer; father of Thomas P. Balzer (Colette), Suzan McMeekin (Barry), Timothy R. Balzer (Andrea), Edward “Buddy” Balzer (Jacqueline) and the late James R. Balzer; also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren; son of the late Edward and Margaret McGladrigan Balzer; brother of Edward Balzer (the late Rosemary), Margaret Gallis and Robert Balzer (Elizabeth); also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends. Thomas retired from Bessemer Lake Erie Railroad and moved on to ushering at Consol Energy Center until finally retiring at age 79. Friends received at MCCABE BROS, INC., FUNERAL HOME, 5300 Penn Ave., Bloomfield on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral will commence Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Church, Friendship Campus at 10 a.m.
