Age 87 of Point Breeze, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Son of the late Albert and Mary Nugent Lilja; most beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Kiesel Lilja; devoted father to Denny (Linda) Lilja, Susan (Samuel) Price, Thomas Lilja, Amy Lilja, Patrica Lilja and JoAnn Goldcamp; brother of Nancy Lilja; predeceased by five brothers; survived by ten adoring grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Don graduted from Central Catholic High School in 1949 and proudly served in the Marines during the Korean war. He had a long career with the USPS and absolutely LOVED the fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He was a kind, generous and thoughtful person who loved to make others happy. Frineds will be recived on Saturday at MCCABE BROS INC., FUNERAL HOME, 6214 Walnut St., Shadyside from 1 p.m. until memorial services at 3 p.m. Our family wishes to thank Three Rivers Hospice for their loving care and support.
