On Sunday, May 27, 2018, age 96.  Beloved wife of the late Fred L. Sorce.  Cherished mother of Fred A. (Janet) and Richard L. Sorce.  Grandmother of Denise Mistick (Michael), Deborah Lackovic (John), and Brian Sorce (Angela). Great grandmother of Carly and Amber Mistick; Olivia, Savannah and Grace Lackovic; and Rebecca and Samantha Sorce.  Sister of Rudy Jaconetta (Mary), and the late Norma Vergona (the late Anthony).  Aunt to Susan Caban (David), Patricia Groening (Christopher), James Jaconetta, Sara Cappetta, and the late Debbie and Anthony Vergona.  Also dear cousin of the late Yolanda Palermo.  Isabella was the traditional stay at home mother. Her first and only priority was to her husband and her two sons.  She was fond of classical music, especially the composers Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Johann Strauss, and Giacomo Puccini.  Also, the three tenors Placido Domingo, Jose Carraras, and Luciano Pavirotti.  Her favorite aria was Nessun Dorma.  She was also fond of the music of the big band era, especially Glenn Miller. Her favorite song of that time was “I’ll Be Seeing You” because it reminded her of her husband whom she married on November 29, 1943 and was in the European theatre during World War II.  She truly was a person who epitomized “the greatest generation.”  Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where funeral will commence on Thursday at 11 am, followed by a Blessing Service in the chapel at Calvary Cemetery at 12 noon.  www.mccabebrothers.com
