So sorry to hear about “uncle als” passing. He was so good to me and my children so many years ago when we lived in east liberty. Even though we moved to New Jersey he always remembered us when we’d be back for a visit. Heaven has gained a great angel he’s probably already serving pizza up there! May he Rest In Peace. Djaeg
You will be sorely missed. You have passed your legacy to your loved ones. Now it is time to get your crown rest in peace.
Dave & MaryAnn,
Your father was a great man, I often stopped for pizza on my walk home from Sacred Heart High School! He didn't know me, but always acted like he did...my condolences to you and your family. God blessed you with him.
with deep sympathy,
nancy noszka
Mr. Vento it was a pleasure taking care of you and meeting your wonderful family. You had such a sweet spirit. You will truly be missed. God bless the Vento family.
I have eaten pizza all across the country and nobody makes pizza like Ventoe’s. Thanks for feeding us all through my Peabody years and greeting me with a big smile every time I seen you. Thank you ❤️❤️
My deepest sympathy to the Vento family. Many of us from Peabody High School will remember the "lunch runs" to Vento's. We'd take orders, call over to Mr. Al and someone would slip out of the building to go pick up his delicious pizza, hot sausages, and those AMAZING fish sandwiches! He always had a smile and a joke or a kind remark...you don't find that around much anymore. He made you feel like you were family...like you were somebody special.
Mr. Al is much loved in our community and will always be remembered as one of the premier businessmen in East Liberty. Rest in the arms of God, Mr. Al. Family, may the God of all comfort embrace and strengthen your hearts at this time.
TO THE FAMILY OF ALBERT P. VENTO YOU WILL BE MISSED I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS HAVING MY FIRSTCHILD I WOULD GO TO THE PIZZA SHOP (WHERE HOME DEPOT IS NOW) AND ORDER TWO CUTS OF PEPPERION PIZZA AND A HOT SAUSAGE WHEN I WALKED IN HE WOULD SAY PEPPERION AND HOT SAUSAGE IN HOUSE AND WHEN I HAD SECOND CHILD IT WAS ONLY HOT SAUSAGE. BIG AL WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY PRAYERS BECAUSE HE GREETED EVERYONE WITH THAT BIG SMILE AND WARM HAND SHAKE
To the Vento family and friends..
I’ve been a faithful customer since the middle of the 60’s
Big Al has always greeted me with love and respect. That’s hard to get from a business owner! Yes he always made me feel more than welcome every time I came through the door. He was like that with Everyone. That in itself was hard to compete with.
I sure will miss him
Marc Peters
