Age 92, of O’Hara Township passed away peacefully surrounded by all his family on Wednesday,  August 29, 2018. Born in Spigno Saturnia, Italy, he was the son of the late Luigi and Maria Vaccarello.  Adolfo served his country of Italy in World War II before moving to Argentina and later to America.  Adolfo worked for the Pittsburgh Board of Education for many years as well as Franco’s Ristorante.  He was a member of the men’s lodge at the Spigno Saturnia Club here in Pittsburgh and the Madonna della Civita society.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 65 years Rosa Vaccarello; father of Dr. Luis Vaccarello (Dr. Renee Caputo) and Maria DeRenzo (Frank); loving grandfather of Santina DiSalvo (Vito), Gina DeRenzo (fiancé Ronnie Haun), and Annalise Vaccarello; loving great-grandfather of Vito DiSalvo; brother of Anacleto Vaccarello,  Assunta Patti and the late Domenico Vaccarello, Augusto Vaccarello, Livio Vaccarello, Albino Vaccarello, Letizia Monti, Lena Monti, and Antonietta Vento.  Adolfo is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends received at McCabe Bros Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where Funeral will take place on Tuesday at 9 am , followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church at 10 am.  The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Good Samaritan Hospice as well as the private caregivers Melinda and Laurie.  Condolences may be left at www.mccabebrothers.com
