"If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." A quote Carol once told me many years ago followed by her great laugh. I am most sure Carol is there right now, there in a place where " there is no mourning, wailing or pain. "
Carol attended Mount Mercy with my mother, and was the greatest friend to her as she suffered with Alzheimer disease for almost 11 years. Carol religiously sent humorous dog cards to my mother with long letters which I would read to her. And every once in a while what Carol wrote would get through to my mother, and she would smile or cry. I will always be most grateful for her many kindnesses to my mother.
She loved dogs, and her Steelers.
I wish her peace.
