Condolences
Dear Chris, Rob, Harry and family,
I was sad to hear about your dad’s passing. As you might remember, he was my piano teacher for many years—way back in the 1960’s and early 70’s. He was probably the most formative teacher regarding my approach to the piano and my way of hearing music. I remember his comments on so many things—and they continue to echo as I tell my students the things he taught me! In addition to being a fine teacher, he was a generous human being. I remember him spending many extra hours with me rehearsing over at Duquesne, because we needed two pianos to rehearse a concerto—and he was always so encouraging and kind. I consider myself very lucky to have known him and worked with him when I was young. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Harry & Debbie and Family,
You are all in my family's and my thoughts and prayers, as we grieve the loss of your precious, beloved father. He was a giant -- a truly good man, tremendous talent and gift to all. I dearly loved him... always will.
May God bless and comfort you, as only He can.
Love you very much,
Daphne
Dear Harry and family: Bobby and I have known each other for over fifty years. He was my children piano teacher and friend.
We worked together on many of Pittsburgh finest weddings and I felt very fortunate to have known him. A fine human and a
great artist. Hans Jonas
Harry and Family: Linda and I are so sorry to hear of your father's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Your father was an extraordinary man!!!
What a guy! And what a great player. I studied with Bobby for years and he was a true mentor. I had many piano recitals with Harry - we even attended Duquesne University together thanks to Bobby's teaching gift. Bobby was a lovely man who will be greatly missed. Condolences and prayer for the family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Booby's passing. A wonderful musician and pianist. I have fond memories of Club Cafe. Definitely a life well lived.Condolences to Harry and all the family.
I am so sad to read of the passing of this wonderful and talented man, who contributed so much to the music community and to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Their musical talent and love of the piano brought about a decades-long, close friendship between Bobby and my late mother, Gloria Spiegler, and she admired and loved him. I remember how deeply saddened and affected he was when my mother's life was coming to an end. Bobby left the world a better place. May his large and loving family find consolation and comfort in knowing how beloved he was to so many: his countless piano students, colleagues, those who love great music, and all who came to know this kind, caring, giving gentleman. God bless...Oren Spiegler
Harry, Rob and Chris,
Where does one begin to tell you how sad I am to hear about the passing of Uncle Bobby? It was a long time before we realized that he was our “great” uncle since our moms were so close. And he truly was a great uncle! I have so many wonderful memories of him as I grew up and later as we all became adults. I will hold them dear. I’m so sorry that we are unable make the trip to Pittsburgh for his funeral. You are all in my prayers. Love you.
