There are no words big enough to tell you how very sorry I am about Des's passing. Our time together in Detroit picketing on Fridays with Jerry, Ethel and the group is a cherished memory. Your visit here to PA was more than welcome. You are in my thoughts today and always Candace, With love, Kathleen Redmond
Our condolences to all of Dessie's family. Des was a good friend to all of us here in Detroit Irish Northern Aid Committee. We marched together in many St. Patrick's Day Parades and Irish Solidarity marches. We also enjoyed a lot of good conversations and a few pints of Guinness, as well. He will be missed and remembered by all of us here in Detroit.
I am so very sorry you have lost your beloved father, Clare and Aileen. I feel fortunate to have known Des and always enjoyed his company and hearing him talk with his beautiful Irish accent. His smile and laugh always lit up the room! Sending my love and heartfelt condolences.
Claire and family. I wish you all well and hope that you find some solace in the wonderful memories you have. My thoughts are with you and your family. Be well,
