Obituary of Antonio Rosato

Antonio "Tony" Rosato, 88, of East Liberty, died Saturday, March 26, 2016. Tony was born in 1927 in Pescocostanzo, Italy. He immigrated in 1952 to meet his father for the first time, whom was establishing himself in the United States with Rosato Roofing Company. He was the beloved husband to the late DelFina Rosato; loving father of Mary (Antonino) Tolomeo, Michael and Paolo (Catherine) Rosato; grandfather of Angela (Fadi) Akar, Vincenza and Paul Tolomeo and Regina Rosato; great-grandfather of Eliana, Milani and Hugo Akar; brother of Rosa Rosato Rapone and the late Paolo Rosato and Anna Rosato Gasbaro; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tony then successfully continued his father's roofing business, which he ran for 50 years, which is now being continued by his son, Michael, and nephew, Augusto Scuillo. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCABE BROS., INC. FUNERAL HOMES, 6214 Walnut St., Shadyside, where funeral will commence at 9 a.m. Wednesday followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, Friendship Campus. Entombment will follow in Allegheny Cemetery.
