James M. Burns, Jr. “Jimmy” “Pap” Of Gibsonia on Saturday, November 14, 2020, age 89. Beloved husband of 67 years to Joan B. (Merlina) Burns; father of Linda Joan Reznik, James M. Burns III (Marlene) and Kathleen Burns-Melnick; grandfather of Sara, Danny, Jimmy IV, Allie, Elliott, Kiersten, and Lindsay; great-grandfather of Alexander, Bella, Liam, Fynn, and Austin; son of the late James M. Sr. and Agnes O’Connor Burns; brother of Nora June Coyne Givens and the late Agnes Jean Brose (Tommy); also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Joyce. Jim was employed at Pepsi-Cola for over 30 years and he was secretary treasurer and business agent for Teamsters Local 249. He served in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952 and was a longtime member of St. Ursula Parish, Allison Park. He enjoyed being with his family, particularly his grandchildren, taking them on many vacations, especially to Canada. He will be remembered for his warmth and generosity. No visitation.
