Obituary of Carole Ann Wagner

Carole Ann Wagner, 72, died peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Carole was born on November 23, 1948 to the late Catherine Maloney Wagner and John Wagner of Mt Lebanon, PA. Carole grew up in Squirrel Hill, PA and later moved to Zelienople, PA where she retired. In 1970, Carole received a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Duquesne University. Carole was honored to be one of the first two students to complete a master’s degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. Her career in physical therapy included Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Sewickley Hospital. Her passion for helping others was evident through her creative and compassionate care. Carole attended St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township where she was a member for many years. Upon retirement, Carole continued her passion for helping others in the community through volunteering at her church, knitting for special causes and offering comfort and assistance to those in nursing homes. Carole is survived by her sister Kathleen Warriner and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Joyce Anderson and her brother John (Jack) Wagner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, March 29, 2021 at St Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Garden Mausoleum, 718 Hazelwood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole’s honor to Heartland Hospice Services of Seven Fields, 2000 Garden Drive, 200C, Seven Fields, PA 16064.
