Obituary of John L. Cuevas

Age 61 of Sharpsburg, formerly of Highland Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Survived by his loving wife Philomena “Philly” Saba Cuevas; adored son John Joseph; loving brother Daniel Iacurci; nephew and godson Donato Iacurci; step-daughters Michelle Asturi and Kimberly Biondo, and devoted aunts and uncle, Joanne Iacurci Robinson and Nancy and Daniel Iacurci; son of the late Marilyn Iacurci Cuevas and Jesse Cuevas; also survived by cousins Rosemary and Donnie Bertucci, Tina (Gerard) Toscani, Cynthia (Michael) Zordich, Melissa (Patrick) Bell, Allison (Nicholas) Waynik, Jennifer (Scott) Canary, and many other cousins and friends. Johnny was a Golden Gloves amateur boxer who trained during the 1970’s. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude Parish, St. Raphael Church on Thursday, August 12 at 10am.
