William N. Kamerling
“Bill” ,78, of Highland Park, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. Throughout his battle with medical issues in recent years, he showed courage, strength and resiliency in facing life’s challenges. Bill was born on January 10, 1943 in Pittsburgh to John and Caroline Kamerling. Beloved husband of 56 years to Rose Marie Kamerling; father of Terry Kamerling, Christopher Kamerling (Matthew Perdeus), and the late William N. Kamerling Jr; grandfather of Tera Metallo; brother of the late John Kamerling. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Bill was a member of Teamsters Local 249, proudly served his country in the Air Force, and was a dedicated employee of UPS where he worked as a package sorter for 32 years before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed walking his dog Chloe around the neighborhood, socializing with his neighbors, and going to the racetrack and car cruises. Friends and family received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Friday, August 20, from 11 am – 2 pm followed by a tribute, officiated by Pastor Carmen R. Shullo. The family requests no flowers or donations.
