Obituary of Catherine M. Crain

Catherine M. Crain Of Oakmont, formerly of Penn Hills on Saturday, February 12, 2022, age 85. Beloved wife of the late John F. Crain, Jr.; loving mother of Sean F. Crain (Cheryl) and Anne C. Strout (Stephen); proud grandmother of Catherine “Catie” Devine (Christopher), Paige Strout and Norah Strout; daughter of the late John and Nora McNally; sister of Thomas McNally (the late Joan), and the late Eileen Massaro (survived by Frank) and Michael McNally (survived by Ranney); sister-in-law of the late Mary Jane Egan (Robert), Nancy Egan (Raymond), Margaret “Peggy” Brady (Laurence), and Dorothy Crain; also survived by nieces and nephews. Catherine grew up in Homewood, later moving to Morningside, before settling in Penn Hills. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Wednesday, 2 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will he held in St. Jude Parish, St. Raphael Church on Thursday at 10 am. At the family’s request, please wear masks at the funeral home and church.
