Obituary of Margaret "Margie" Gasbarro

Margaret Coyne Gasbarro “Margie” Peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022, age 81, of Aspinwall, formerly of Highland Park. She was the love of her husband Ronald Gasbarro’s life. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1959, attended Robert Morris College and worked for Mellon Bank and Citizens Bank in various branches. In 1970 her and her husband Ron moved to Highland Park and her parents and sister Grace lived with them. She became the caretaker for all of them as her siblings and their families resided elsewhere. She loved life and enjoyed numerous family visits, especially birthdays and above all her large gatherings at Christmas, where she would prepare all of their favorite dishes. She enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and the Rivers Casino. She was proud of her Irish heritage, a member of the Daughters of Erin, and often marched on St. Patrick’s Day, even through the snow of the blizzard of ’93! She was predeceased by her parents, Marcus and Margaret Coyne, and her siblings Audrey, Charles, John and Grace. Left to mourn are her husband Ronald, brother William Coyne (Cathy), sister-in-law Marilyn Gasbarro Erbst (Fred), and brother-in-law Jack Gasbarro (Duffy); also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Friends received at McCabe Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Thursday and Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where Funeral will commence on Saturday at 9am followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Church, at 10 am.
