Obituary of Jeanne W. Brown

Peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, age 94, formerly of Highland Park. Beloved wife of the late J. Richard “Dick” Brown; mother of the late Lisa J. Brown and survived by children Richard C. Brown (Nancy), David A. Brown (Shirley), Amy E. Schulz (Robert), Thomas W. Brown (Erin); grandmother of Megan J. Harbison (Garrett), Zachary J. Brown-Gustafson (Nora Escobedo-Gustafson-Brown), Christina L. Brown (John Vecchio), Samantha A. Schulz, Emily D. Schulz, and Owen G. Brown; great-grandmother of Cooper, Miles, and Embry Harbison; sister of Janet W. Brislin (the late Jack) and the late Hugh G. Walsh (the late Janet); also survived by nieces and nephews. A modern woman, Jeanne was a proud 1947 graduate of Carnegie Technical Institute. She married her husband Dick in 1953 and went on to have 5 loving children. Jeanne enjoyed traveling and hosting friends and family at their summer cottage at Edinboro Lake. She made very special memories at their annual family beach vacations. Jeanne was a great lover of music. She played the piano and loved going to Broadway shows and musicals. Family and friends will be received for a memorial visitation at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Tuesday, 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Parish, Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday at 10 am.
