Obituary of Tina (Lagrotteria) Greco

Age 97, of Avalon, formerly 0f Aspinwall, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Greco; mother of Carol Vetterly (Tim); grandmother of Jasmine Vetterly (Mike Ruda); daughter of the late Louis and Concetta (Asturi) Lagrotteria, sister of the late Lena Talotta (the late Tony), Jay Veri (survived by Robert), Joseph Lagrotteria (survived by Sharon), Paul Lagrotteria, and Jennie Mannella (survived by Anthony); also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Tina was born in Maierato, Italy and moved to the US when she was a child. She met her husband Anthony when she was a teenager and they married when he returned from serving in World War II. Tina worked as a seamstress at Joseph Horne Co. department store downtown for 19 years and retired to have a family. She enjoyed shopping and traveling but most of all spending time with her loving family. Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home,6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside, on Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Christ The King Parish, St. Scholastica Church, on Friday at 11:30 am.
