Obituary of Betsey R. Fritsch

Betsey R. Fritsch Of Shadyside, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Wednesday November 16, 2022. Betsey is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Arnold R. Fritsch; her children, Kristin Fritsch, Kerry Stout (James), Read Fritsch (Susan Stewart), Laverne Hunt (Jacqueline Morrow); and Paul Fritsch (Leona); grandchildren, Favian, Joshua, Freya, Martha, Sam, Nathaniel, Jacob, and Andrew; and her great-grandson Apollo. She will be remembered by all the people she invited into the warm and welcoming Fritsch home, overseen by our beloved Betsey. She was a longtime member and past president of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, of which Betsey was a long-time member, 4729 Ellsworth Ave., Shadyside, on Saturday, December 10, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, Betsey would like those she leaves behind to listen to a beloved piece of music, perhaps Bach’s Magnificat, and to open your heart to the strangers you meet.
