Norma Catherine Levycky

Age 88, of Pittsburgh, peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Norma was born on February 1, 1935, to the late Amos and Mary (Carney) Denham. Beloved wife of the late Yaroslaw “Steve”Levycky for 23 years; loving mother of Lynn Yocum (Beth), Tom Yocum (Erin), Judy Sobolak (Mike), Michael Yocum (Scott), Bill Yocum (Bridget), and her step-daughter, Dominique Butts (Chris). “Mummy” is also survived by nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; sister of the late Jack Denham (Peggy), and Patrick Denham (Betty); and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. In addition to raising five children, “Mummy” graduated from St. Francis Hospital School Of Nursing in 1973. After a career as a registered nurse, spanning three decades, she retired from The Allegheny County Health Department. In her spare time, Norma was involved with the Girl Scouts as a Brownie Leader and also sang with the St. Lawrence O’Toole church folk group, “Sweet Rejoicing” for several years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 1 , 2023 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Augustine Church, 225 37th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201.
