Of Morningside on Tuesday, April 03, 2018, age 79.  Beloved son of the late Philip J., Sr. and Leah Raeder Brennan; brother of Kathleen Flati, Donald (Carol), Kevin (Jean Ann), and the late Edward and Mary Anne Nixon (survived by Richard Smith); beloved “Uncle T” of Bill and Michael Nixon, Shannon Valenti Murphy, Meghan Flati, Brittany and Joshua Brennan and the late Anthony P. Flati; also survived by 8 great-nieces and nephews.  Phil was a long-time employee of St. Raphael School in Morningside and a member of the AOH and Knights of Columbus and a proud alumnus of Central Catholic.  Friends received at McCabe Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Raphael Church on Saturday at 10 am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Raphael Angel Fund or the Sister Jane Fund at St. Raphael in Phil’s memory would be greatly appreciated. www.mccabebrothers.com
